THESE ARE THE STORIES OF OUR COMMUNITY
Below are many stories of mental health: stories of hurting, healing, and freedom. Unedited and honest, these are the real life experiences of our community. These stories are shared by those who have bravely stepped into a realm of vulnerability. These people have shared both for their own healing and to help others know they are not alone. All stories are posted exactly as they are received, so please know that the views, thoughts and opinions expressed in the stories below belong solely to the authors and not necessarily to Band Together nor its community.
SHARE YOUR OWN STORY
This is both a place for you to be encouraged by the stories of others and find healing by sharing your own mental health journey story. We know it’s a big step to share your story honestly. Share as much or as little as you need to. This is a safe place and we will respect your story by sharing it exactly as it was written. You can also read our story online or wear your story with a Band Together bracelet. You belong here!
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT
Readers can choose to leave a reaction inside the story itself for the person who shared their story to come back and see! This is one more way our community can connect to one another and show support, love and solidarity for the experiences that so many of us share.
If you are on a mobile device, click the three black lines at the bottom of the story to reveal the reactions.
The stories on our website are shared exactly as they are received without editing or censorship. Reader discretion is advised, as some stories may contain content that some may find triggering or disturbing. To maintain a safe space for those who have shared, commenting capabilities have been turned off. Instead, you can leave a Reaction on the stories as a way to let the author know you are standing with them.
